44,000 present at Dandelion Festival
Over 40,000 people partied in Kelvingrove Park at the Dandelion Festival between Friday and Sunday 17-19 of June, in a celebration of growing and music.

Audiences danced to headliners Les Amazon d’Afrique, Newton Faulkner, Admiral Fallow Niteworks in front of the ‘Pavilion of Perpetual Light’ – a ‘living stage’ made from 60 of Dandelion’s unique 1x1metre accelerated growing cubes, with live vegetable plants inside. The free, non-ticketed festival transformed the park with live music, street theatre, talks, workshops and creative activities exploring sustainability, community growing and climate action.
Commissioned by EventScotland and funded by the Scottish Government, Dandelion is part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK. Scottish and international artists performed across three stages, presented in partnership with Celtic Connections and Glasgow Life, including Les Amazones d’Afrique, Newton Faulkner, Admiral Fallow, Rura, This is the Kit, Darlingside, Niteworks, VanIves, Shooglenifty, Rachel Sermanni, Sam Lee, Orchestral Qawalli, Jason Singh, Hen Hoose and many more.
