About us

We are Festival 2022 Limited (“UNBOXED”, "we", "us" or "our").  Below is set out the out relevant information about what we will do with the personal data which you pass to us in connection with your completion of UNBOXED’s UAT online survey of its planned new website which is currently under development (“the Survey”).  For further information please see our existing website privacy notice at www.unboxed2022.uk/privacy-policy

Who does this supplementary privacy notice apply to?

This privacy notice applies to members of the public who complete the UNBOXED user acceptance testing (UAT) online survey.  

What information do we collect and why do we need it?

The information about you which we collect when you complete the Survey is your: 

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Age bracket
  • Region of residence
  • Nationality
  • Gender identity
  • Ethnicity
  • Disability
  • Feedback on your user journey and experience

The above list includes what the law calls ‘special category’ personal data (such as any disabilities you may tell us about).

We need to gather the data about you for the following purposes:

  • to help us to understand our website users better so we can design our new website to meet users’ requirements and expectations more effectively; and
  • to help us identify and fix any bugs or issues there might be with users’ journey through and experience of the new website, while it is still in development.

Who will have access to your personal information?

We will only share your personal data with the provider of the software we use to run the Survey, SmartSurvey (which is our data processor on our behalf), and no-one else.  Please see SmartSurvey’s own privacy notice at www.smartsurvey.co.uk/privacy-policy which tells you, among other things, how SmartSurvey will use your data which we pass to them as our processor.

How is processing your information lawful?

Our lawful basis for processing your information is that you have given us your explicit consent to such processing for the above specific purposes.  You can withdraw your consent at any time, and UNBOXED will stop processing your personal data.  To withdraw your consent please click on the following link [add ‘mail to’ hyperlink] which will send us a withdrawal of consent email.

UNBOXED will only process your personal data within the UK. The personal data for which are SmartSurvey are our data processors may be stored, transferred and processed outside of the UK and the European Economic Area. SmartSurvey will make such transfers in compliance of Chapter V of the General Data Protection Regulation and in the absence of a transfer to a country that is not subject to an adequacy decision from the UK Government, the transfer will be made subject to an appropriate safeguard.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will retain your details on our systems until the end of July 2022, by which date all personal data collected for the above purposes will be deleted.

Changes to this privacy notice

We regularly review and, where necessary, update our privacy information. If we plan to use personal information for a new purpose, we update our privacy information and will communicate the changes via an update to this supplementary privacy notice and/or to our website privacy notice. Please check our website occasionally to ensure you are aware of the most recent version of our website privacy notice. This supplementary privacy notice is version 1 and is effective from February 2022.
