How could I sketch what I’m feeling?
Pupils aged 7–11 are encouraged to share their thoughts, ideas and feelings through drawing in this activity-based lesson plans. What do they see when they close their eyes? How can they express the joy of a hug in a picture? Through a series of inclusive drawing challenges, pupils will consider how they can represent their thoughts and emotions on the page, and reflect on images that carry the essence of how they feel.
Drawing My Feelings is part of Me & My Wellbeing, a set of five 60-minute learning resources for pupils aged 5–11 that explore key personal development themes. Developed for Dreamachine by A New Direction, this eight-page PDF lesson plan includes plenty of prompts for discussions, plus links and resources for further learning.
