Website accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to unboxed2022.uk

UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of creativity, taking place across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and online from March to October 2022.

We are aiming for UNBOXED to be as inclusive and accessible as possible for both online and physical activities taking place across the event programmes.

Consideration are being made for people with accessibility requirements, ensuring a safe, independent and dignified experience for all.

The UNBOXED website is managed by our in-house digital team with support on an ongoing basis by Numiko Limited on behalf of UNBOXED and Festival 2022 Limited

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website and have followed industry standards for accessibility. We’ve also worked hard to make the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Non accessible content

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the UNBOXED website there are some limitations.

  • In some places we use a video player provided by Vimeo, which is accessible for desktop but if navigating using a keyboard attached to a mobile device, keyboard navigation may get stuck in the video player settings. We are investigating alternatives for this video player.
  • In some cases mobile device accessibility features (e.g. colour inversion) may make some text or images harder to see. Desktop equivalent accessibility features do not seem to have these same issues. We are investigating what improvements could be made here.

Please contact us at online@unboxed2022.uk if you observe any other issues.
