SEE MONSTER is an extraordinary act of collective creativity – a decommissioned North Sea offshore platform regenerated as a major new art installation in Weston-super-Mare.

Harnessing renewable energy from the great British weather, SEE MONSTER will feature experiments, performances, gardens and even waterfalls – showcasing local innovation, and demonstrating how creativity can challenge and change the status quo.

There are three ways to experience the monster and all completely free. Observe from afar as you walk along the sea front at Weston-super-Mare, come inside the Tropicana and see the monster from a viewing platform or from Saturday 24 September get the full experience by climbing aboard SEE MONSTER.

Aboard SEE MONSTER there are four accessible levels to explore.

- At ground level experience of roar of the monster from the 10-meter waterfall;

- On level 1, the cellar deck, you’ll encounter an immersive weather experience;

- On level 2, the Garden Lab, you’ll find out more about renewable energy through WindNest, solar trees and kinetic sculptures dotted in amongst the seaside garden.

- On level 3 at the top of the monster, the helideck features the amphitheatre as well as new and unrivalled views across Weston-super-Mare, out to sea and on a clear day the Welsh coast.

On the way down be sure not to miss out on the multi-level slide offering an alternative route down through the monster.

Keep an eye out for special events and tune in to BBC Radio Bristol who will be broadcasting live from SEE MONSTER from late September to November.
