Dandelion - The Floating Garden

This garden travels along the Scottish canal network like nothing you've ever seen before

Date and time

20 June - 11 September

Publication date
A woman holding a pitchfork looks out from a canal boat with a large metal horses head sculpture on the back of the boat.

The Floating Garden will tour the Scottish canal network, traveling from Glasgow to Edinburgh before resting in residence at The Kelpies from July to September.

Made up of three elements, one a barge from Scottish Canals converted in to a floating allotment, complete with a cube of perpetual light. The second a performance stage home to a huge flower puppet. The third an eco garden drawing sustenance from the canal and in the process cleaning the water and feeding the plants.

With flower puppets, songs and grow-your-own starter kits handed out - have a look at the locations across Scotland below so you can join in too!
