This engaging 60-minute lesson programme for pupils aged 11–18 explores how aeroplanes take flight and discusses their impacts on our world.
Watch a 25-minute video in which Dr Ling Lim (Manchester Metropolitan University) talks about her journey in science before discussing flight and its climate impacts. Using the activity on the two-page PDF, you can explore different parts of an aeroplane in more detail: what they do, why they’re important and how we could reduce emissions from aviation.
