How could we change the way aircraft work in order to preserve our climate? This 60-minute lesson plan explores the impact of aeroplanes on our world, and also invites pupils aged 4–11 to consider how they could become scientists when they grow up.
Start by watching Dr Ling Lim (Manchester Metropolitan University) discuss how she got into science, how planes fly and how they affect our climate on Earth. After watching the 15-minute video, use the one-page activity sheet as a prompt for discussions and a guide to fun activities: making smog in a jar and designing an aircraft for the future.
