Duration

60 minutes

Have you ever thought about the stars in the sky? And what might life be like on other planets? This 60-minute lesson programme invites pupils aged 4–11 to think about life beyond Earth – and to consider that what they’re learning in class could lead to an exciting career in astrophysics.

Watch a film in which Dr Johanna Vos (American Museum of Natural History, New York) talks about how she got into astrophysics and her work on finding new planets. A one-page activity guide includes video discussion questions and fun follow-up activities: making constellations and designing a planet.
