One of London’s most iconic landmarks will host a dazzling UNBOXED commission next week – but you’ll need to be quick to catch it…

About Us is a breathtaking journey through 13.8 billion years of our history, using projection mapping, animation, live music and more to tell the story of life, the universe and the connections between us.

This mesmerising show toured the UK in the spring to huge acclaim from audiences, and it’s arriving at the Tower of London for a well-deserved encore. For the occasion, singers from all five tour locations will come together for the first time – including choir members of Codetta from Derry-Londonderry, Hull Freedom Chorus, Glasgow City Chorus, Côr Dre and Côr Eifionydd from Caernarfon and BIG Hat Factory Choir from Luton.

Words in the projection come from leading UK poets: Llŷr Gwyn Lewis, Jen Hadfield, Jason Allen-Paisant, Khairani Barokka, Stephen Sexton, and Grug Muse. Throughout, the choirs perform an original score from widely-awarded and acclaimed composer and musician Nitin Sawhney CBE.

You can catch About Us at the Tower of London from Wednesday 16 to Saturday 19 November, with shows every half hour between 5.30pm and 9.30pm. The 25-minute show is suitable for all ages. You don’t need to book – and admission is free.

And if you’re there during the day, you can visit the free About Us digital exhibition from 11am, with new animations and poetry created by children across the UK.
