Topic

Identity and diversity Sustainability and our future Wellbeing and resilience

To make the world a better place, we all need to live and work together with shared values – but what should those values be? This free set of learning resources invites pupils aged 7–11 to think about how working with others can make us all stronger – exploring who we are as people, designing sustainable future fashions, and even considering how we can learn from communities of bees.

These resources are part of A Week in the Future, five sets of themed learning resources inspired by GALWAD: A story from our future – a multiplatform, multilingual story set in a possible future world of 2052. Each resource can be presented as standalone lessons or across a full week of learning, and includes background information, links, curriculum mapping and ideas for practical activities.

You can access each set of resources for free via the main GALWAD learning page, and through the individual pages dedicated to Day 1 – The Past, Day 2 – People, Day 3 – Place, Day 4 – The Planet and Day 5 – The Future. Each of these pages contains links to download free PDF and PowerPoint files, and to stream free online films hosted on YouTube.
